There are many useful metal spinng tools in spin forming, such as metal spun roller ( wheel ), deep drawing oil, trimming tool, heating equipment, tube spinning fixture, blank sheet and tube lifting clamp device,Asbestos gloves.
1. Spin forming roller
① Spun roller : spin forming needs different radius of spun roller, you need to custom spun roller by CNC turning, if you don’t know how to make a CNC spinning roller>>, you can read this article.
② Roller bearing : you have better to choose the tapered roller bearing to assemble in roller, the bearing is stressed the radial and axial forces in metal spinning.
③ Lubricating oil : it is used to lubricate bearings to reduction friction, you can lubricate the bearings to protect it regularly.
2. Hydroforming oil
① Hydroforming (deep drawing) oil : it is used to reduce the wear of spin roller and work piece when it press and pull the work piece. if you spin forming without hydroforming oil, the exterior surface of roller and workpieces will be scratch. On the other hand, the hydroforming oil can cool the work piece to prevent the heat expansion of roller and mold that cold working produce the heat. So choose the right deep drawing oil can make the exterior surface of metal spinning product is smoother.
Hydroforming oil have dilute and dense oil, soft metal spin forming needs dilute oil, such as aluminum, brass, copper, steel. When you spin stainless steel 304 or the metal hardness is harder than stainless steel 304, the spin process will produce more heat, dilute oil is easy spin out when the temperature of roller and spun work piece is high, so you must use the dense oil and make it paste on the work pieces.
② Brush : using a brushes to spread the hydroforming oil on the work pieces.
3. Trimming Parting tool
① Tuming tool
It is used to trim the thin stainless steel, titanium and steel ( the thickness of spun product is less than 1.5mm), because thin spun product is soft, using this types parting tool that must control the metal spun product hold the mold more tightly, it needs mold support the metal spun product to prevent the cutting vibration.
② Facing Tool - Type SDJC
It is used to trim the thick stainless steel, titanium and steel of spun products (the thickness of spun product is more than 1.5mm), if you use tuming tool, it is easy to break the turning tool grain when the cutting temperature is high and cutting vibration.
Include : the parting tool to trim the metal spun product is different with the CNC turning, most of CNC turning to make the solid bar, but metal spun products are thin wall, it is easy shake when it is trimmed. These two parting tools need to assemble the turning tool grain, the Facing tool grain type : TNGA 160404S01525 - KyOCERa
③ High speed steel lathe tool
It is used to trim the aluminum, copper, brass that material is soft, you can buy the high speed steel to grind the difficult tool edge to trim.
All the parting tool have the right-hand and left- hand kind.
4.Heating equipment
① Coal gas heating : the heat is least, it is suitable to heat the thin and stainless steel aluminum types, aluminum has good thermal conductivity and low melting point, too much heat tends to melt aluminum.
② Propane : propane heating is uniform and heat is more than coal gas, it is suitable to heat the thick aluminum, the heating speep is quicker than coal gas.
③ Oxygen - acetylene heating : it used to heat the hard and thick metal when make the sample, such as stainless steel thickness is over 4mm or other metal is hard to spin by cold spinning. oxygen -acetylene heat is the most.
④ High - frequency heating equipment : it is used to heat the hard than thick metal instead of oxygen - acetylene heating in the batch production, it can be set total heating time by high- frequency heating equipment, it is easy to control the heating temperature compare to oxygen - acetylene heating. On the other hand, high - frequency heating can cause metal temperature to rise faster.
5. Tube spinning fixture
All the tube spinning needs a right fixture, it have nothing to do with the roller path and CNC program. If the fixture can’t hold and clamp the tube tightly, the tube will tends to move axially. it can’t be spun successfully when the blank tube move.
There are air pressure and hydraulic pressure fixture you can choose, even though air pressure move and work faster, the working pressure is less stable than the hydraulic pressure and the clamping force is less than hydraulic pressure. So most of tube spinning we choose to design a hydraulic tube fixture.
6. Lifting clamp device
When we spin a big blank sheet or tube (the weight is over 20KG), it is hard and unsafe to load the blank by hand, you can put a lifting device in a crane, it is convenient to load the big tube and sheet when you have these devices, you can by this brand BEAMNOVA vertical plate (sheet) lifting clamp, Aardwolf pipe (tube) lifter.
7. Asbestos gloves
All the hot spinning product have high temperature when finish the spinning, when you remove the hot metal spinning products, you need to use the asbestos gloves to protect your hand, the common gloves burn out easily.
